Travel by train (or coach stopped at York station stop):

We recommend that you take your luggage to the Grand Hotel first when you arrive York railway station. The Grand Hotel is a 4-minute walk from York railway station. Go out station, cross the road and turn left. Walk along the road and keep right. You will see the hotel after the city wall. See the route map pdf file below.

From York station to Grand Hotel

The concierge service at the hotel will take one bag to your room free of charge. Make sure your bag is labelled with your name and ‘BLA conference’.

Bus is the economic way travel from York station to Ron Cooke Hub in University of York. Take the number 66 bus from the bus stop opposite the station. Tell the driver you are going to Campus East. The single fare is £2 and you can pay by contactless Visa or Master card. Please allow at least 30 minutes travel time. When you arrive Campus East, Ron Cooke Hub is about 5 minutes walk from the bus stop. See the link below for Ron Cooke campus map.
